This is my first attempt to bake a cake...

Let's start with something simple: Chocolate cake with blueberry topping

*First melt the butter and chocolate

*Sift the flour

*Eggs

*The melted chocolate and butter

*Ok.. here we go...

*Mix everything together

*Mix well and ready to bake

*After 50 mins of baking...

*Add on some blueberry topping for final touch up

*Hooray.. finally done!

Pretty impressive with Dewan Filharmonik Petronas, Malaysia's first world class classical concert hall...

This 2 plates of snacks cost us 24 bucks and it taste sucks...

While in the waiting room before the performance begins...

But we were supposed to be ladylike!! So, here we go...

And we proceed to the show at 8.30pm sharp...

It was really a good experience and eye opener for both us~~

Went to 3 temples during Chinese New Year. One of the hottest spots is the Fo Guang Shan (FGS) Dong Zen Temple; well-known for its CNY lanterns and flower festival.

Jamming all the way to the temple and trying to squeeze in with the crowd, taking photographs seems to be a challenging task.

Here comes to an end of year 2008.. just hours more to go..

Many things had took place... met different people that brought me different memories...
It was like sailing across the rough tides...

Not just to me, I guess year 2008 was a tough and challenging year for many people as well: the economic tsunami, earthquake at Szechuan, snow disaster at China, melamine in milk scandal, US election where Obama became the first black president, the chaos of the Malaysia election, and many more...

I will never forget year 2008... it stimulates a lot of new thoughts and it has changed me in certain ways...

There are many things that I need to learn...The path in front is still unclear...

Also, thanks everyone for the support, guidance and companion all this while... thank you for the blessing...

Well, but it's worth a try. I bought this from the Korean supermarket at Sri Hartamas after gym; I was attracted by its name: 천국 (pronounced as "Chun Kuk") which means 天菊 in Chinese.

Approaching the final month of year 2008...

Time flies like an arrow. In a blink of eye, it comes to the end of year 2008...

And I am more than glad for that. It's not a great year for me. A lot of things happened that brought me tears.

Experience of deep, stirring emotions: lost, dissapointment, heartache, fear, anxiety, inferiority, guilt, emptiness...

Things were beyond my control and out of my expectation.

It provoked a lot of thoughts in my mind. My mind is still messed up. I'm still organizing and searching for myself.

I'm still learning...

Looking forward for a new start...

It was a productive week to manage 3 events in a row...

Asides from seafood, I indulged myself in other hawker food when I was in Penang.

On my way to Penang, we stopped by at Ipoh for lunch.

I had 3 meals of seafood during my 6-day stay in Penang.

The first night, KC brought us to Bukit Tambun for a cheap meal of seafood. That place is pretty hidden, I guess only the local people will know the way there.

The other 2 meals of seafood, we had it at Gurney, which is about 5 minutes drive from the hotel we were staying.

Penang Trip 1

Finally I'm home..

It was such a tiring week as I had 3 events in a row in Penang and I've burned out all my energy during my 6-day stay there.

The hotel that I stayed is at Tanjung Bungah. It's a decent hotel for the price that we were paying. The good thing about the place is that it's at the beach side. The beach is well-maintained (very much compared to Port Dickson) and I was pretty amazed by that!

Absinthe

My friend lured me into trying this distilled, highly alcholic (45% - 75% ABV) drink yesterday night. The history and the making of absinthe are damn cool.

In the 19th century, absinthe was portrayed as a dangerously addictive psychoactive drug and it was opposed by social conservatives and prohibitionists. This herbal tonic was banned in a lot of countries like United States, France, Brazil, Belgium, and Congo as early as year 1898. But for the past few years, absinthe which is also known as the Green Fairy, is slowly made legal again in those countries.

Wow.. sounds cool and mysterious, right? After trying the drink, well...I'm not really into it yet. The herbs smell is too strong for me. My friend asked me to finish the drink one shot! Erm...I'm not ready for that yet. But after taking a few sip, it started to taste "acceptable" for me.

Though so, I think you guys should try it out too!
